Großglockner Tour

Tour description

The absolute highlight of the Austrian mountain world is of course the Grossglockner, which at 3,798 m is not only the highest mountain of the Alpine republic but certainly also the most impressive with the 9 km long glacier tongue Pasterze and the special flora & fauna. A unique experience is the ride on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Driving pleasure and the highest view of Austria is offered by the historic high alpine road 48 km in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. We start our Grossglockner Tour from Lerchenhof in the direction of Kötschach-Mauthen, over the Gailberg in the direction of Lienz, but we turn off to the Iselsberg and reach the Mölltal valley, which leads us to Heiligenblut. We return via the remaining Mölltal valley towards Obervellach and on to Greifenburg, where we return to Lerchenhof via Kreuzberg.
